Saints Not So Saintly

Forget that big contract Drew Brees is waiting for.  The New Orleans Saints have a lot bigger fish to worry about.  The allegations of a "bounty program" being ran within the Saints camp the last three seasons has aroused.  Former New Orleans defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and anywhere from 22 to 27 players funded a program in which players were financially rewarded for inflicting injuries on opponents and for knocking them out of the game.  Head coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis are also in the hot seat because they knew about the program and failed to stop it.

The Saints could end up losing valuable draft picks and a whole lot of cash.  Not to mention, the suspensions different players and coaches will have to face.  The league is acting like the Saints defense are the only ones out there that are trying to injure players.  Last time I checked the games about physical play and big hits.  This is why you have your offensive line protecting your guys.  The Saints will get the short end of the straw on this deal though.  The league will set an example with them for actually playing football.
