New Face of Golf

Rory McIlroy won the Honda Classic on Sunday by two strokes over Tiger Woods and journeyman Tom Gillis. The victory propelled McIlroy to the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Rankings. He is just the 16th golfer to be No. 1 since the rankings were instituted in 1986. McIlroy, 22, is the second youngest golfer to be ranked No. 1 after Tiger Woods, who was 21 when he first reached the pinnacle of the sport.
The PGA has desperately wanted another golfer to step up and be the man after the Tiger Woods scandal erupted in November, 2009. TV ratings for the sport have suffered the past two years outside of the few times that Tiger Woods has been in contention.

Tiger Woods has been battling more than just personal problems.  He has been dealing with injuries as well.  Its time for him to step aside and make room for the new face of golf, Rory McIlroy
