T.J. Ford Retires

T.J. Ford abruptly retired after another scare to his sergically repaired spine.  He already sat out an entire season prior to this injury for a similar injury.  Ford told reporters that lying motionless March 7 on the court against the New York Knicks wasn't the first time it had happened, and he decided to walk away while he still had a chance. He was playing just his 14th game in an injury prone season when Knicks guard Baron Davis elbowed him in the back, knocking him to the ground.

Ford, a family man, decided to walk away from the game while he still could under his own power.  He was a promising young point guard and one heck of a college ball player.  In the end T.J. Ford chose his family and health over his fame and money.  Goodluck to you in the future Mr. Ford.  You were an true professioanl within your organization.
