We Are The Titans

The University of Detroit Mercy made it into the NCAA Tournament after a surprising championship win in the Horizon League.  The Titans defeated Valporaiso 70-50 in the conferense championship; a team they lost to twice in the regular season.  All I can say is congratulations UofD and enjoy it while you can.  Your celebrations will be short lived as much as I don't want to believe that.  The Titians enter the tourney as a 15th seed and will go against number 2 seed Kansas Jay Hawks.  The Jay Hawks were a potential 1 seed until their loss in the confrence tournament.  Kansas and Detroit have met three times prior to Friday’s matchup. KU holds a perfect 3-0 record all-time against the Titans with the most recent meeting a 63-43 KU victory in Lawrence on Dec. 28, 2006.

As for now, enjoy the experience Titans.  You've earned it!
